Data sources include NASA GIBS WMTS tiles from GOES-East, GOES-West, and Himawari-8 geostationary satellites (10-minute temporal resolution, cached hourly on Galatea), the existing Open-Meteo forecast and historical APIs, and the daily VIIRS NOAA-20 true-color archive maintained since June 2025.
