My problem with Atheism is that that having developed as a reaction to religion, it carries within itself much of the old conceptual baggage. I grew up without religion and constructs such as ‘God’ and ‘belief’ are not part of my thought world; they are words without weight. In professing Atheism, I would feel as if I am wading back into the oozy swampland of theology.
